Upper Valley Holiday and Winter Festivities
Holiday and winter festivities are in the air here in the Upper Valley. Although we had our first arctic blast of the year, it hasn’t hampered any of the enthusiasm for some of the many great events scheduled over the next few weeks. The much awaited Christmas Revels: The Flying Canoe will take place at Hopkins Center at Dartmouth Dec 16-19 as well as the annual Christmas Mystery at Rollins Chapel at Dartmouth.
The Upper Valley has long been a haven for sports enthusiasts and with snow and cold in the forecast skaters, skiers and snowboarders are all in merry spirits. Set yourself free and take part in The Annual Lake Morey Skate-A-Thon on Jan 8. Home to one of the longest outdoor skating loops in the country, it smacks of a time gone by in stunningly beautiful settings. The following day boasts the Lake Morey Winter Fest at the Hulbert Outdoor Center. Try out dog sled racing, XC skiing, speed skating and much, much more.
For all of those who prefer to stay nice and snug indoors check out the ‘Baking for Breakfast’ Seminar taking place at King Arthur Flour in Norwich, VT on Dec 18. Stroll along the festive main streets of Hanover NH and Norwich VT and check out some of the fine restaurants and quaint shops, or stop in and see us here at Martha Diebold Real Estate in Hanover, NH or Lyme, NH to view our fine listings or just chat about current market conditions. Wishing you peace and happiness during the holiday season.
